I really like this effect but in order for to it disperse I need to somehow find out how to reverse it so instead of the letters coming together I need them to separate.

I've done it!
Just looked up how to reverse the keyframes and managed to reverse the sequence so it disperses the letters

The only thing is is that the word is just there from the start and doesn't enter into the sequence so maybe this is something I will have to alter.

Key Framing with Lorraine

This is the keyframe sequence I made last week, in this weeks session the key points Lorraine made were to still draw in the whole of an object even when it is within the action safe or title safe border.

Also she introduced us to the idea of thirds, making a sequence look more interesting by using one third or two thirds of the space.

She then made us pick out the key frames that were essential to show movement or change within the sequence, these are mine below, showing change in shape, things dropping or moving in, then rotating to 3D.

Silent movie- preperation

I've started to prepare my second idea on Photoshop

 My idea is to have these letters to start falling off (dispersing) so you can't see the word it spells anymore and just to be flying about everywhere

After Effects experiments

My first attempt for 'Disperse' I've tried to create a dandelion/ flower shape with the letters and make they gradual fall down/ 'disperse'. I forgot about the colour limitations so this is something I would have to change. The video is at the bottom

This is a slight variation of the first one, I've changed the background to white to fit in with the brief, also to make it more 'Dandelion' like I've changed the positions of the letters so that instead of them all falling to the bottom they fly out to the sides as if they were being blowing.

Storyboarding

Using a range of typefaces and sizes we had to create a series or storyboards with 5 frames in each to represent sequences for our three words which we later will take onto After Effects

I found myself producing a lot more for disperse than flip and extend I had a lot more ideas for this

Title safe and action safe borders

Photoshop files

Creating different layers on photoshop to allow you to create movement and change these layers individually on after effects

Splitting the hello into two layers on Photoshop allowed me to split the word on After Effects

Illustrator

Again we created a series of different layers on Illustrator

Clicking on the '' button enables Illustrator files to be scaled and continuously rasterized so they won't be pixelated unlike Photoshop files
